A long-time wine afficionado and truly passionate about Bordeaux wines, Gérard Jicquel, a Breton professional who co-founded the SAMSIC group in 1986, decided to live out his dream by purchasing the Château Fourcas Dupré.
To help with his winemaking venture, he named Lucas Leclercq Managing Director.

An engineer and oenologist, Lucas Leclercq has managed a number of vineyards with passion across several renowned regions, from Burgundy to Saint-Estèphe and Pomerol.
Committed to Mr Jicquel’s project, he aims to get this wine listed alongside the great Bordeaux labels by improving and consolidating its quality and by bolstering its distribution.

Originally from the Côte d’Argent, my curiosity and passion for winemaking took me to various vineyards.
After studying at the Château la Tour Blanche viticulture school and starting my career in 1987 at the vineyard of Barons Edmond and Benjamin de Rothschild, here I am now, 17 years with the Château Fourcas Dupré vineyard.
Accompanied by a dynamic team and alongside Mr Jicquel, the new owner of the estate, I use my experience with this unique vineyard of the Listrac Médoc appellation where there are still great vintages yet to be made.
In the years to come, the new face of the Château Fourcas Dupré will bring new strength and fame to this renowned vineyard.
